Andy Cox

Andy is the Non-Executive Director of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s Energy and Infrastructure sector group.
Andy is a former senior partner and energy sector lead at KPMG where he served as a partner for 17 years. As a deal advisory partner for many years Andy’s clients were drawn from corporates, infrastructure funds, major Asian investors and private equity houses.
For three years Andy was Head of UK Transaction Services, one of the firm’s most successful business units, before focusing entirely on the energy sector. As Head of Energy for 6 years, Andy had responsibility for all KPMG’s services (Audit, Tax and Advisory) across a broad range of clients spanning power & utilities (inc. renewables and nuclear) and oil & gas. In his last role, as Global Lead Partner for bp p.I.c., he supported their exploration into how artificial intelligence/machine learning could drive better decision making as well as supporting the start of their journey to become an Integrated Energy Company.
With a passion for the Energy Transition Andy has undertaken several advisory roles since retiring from KPMG. He was a Senior Advisor to the executive team at Storegga, the Scottish Cluster for Carbon Capture & Storage and Hydrogen – supporting operating model re-design and early development of a new business model: ‘Carbon Capture as a Service’. Over recent months he has advised the CEO and leadership team of an energy tech start-up preparing to launch a leading-edge customer experience technology platform.
