Athina is an associate in °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s government and infrastructure team. She advises on public procurement, subsidy control, private finance initiative matters and commercial contracts. Athina has experience of reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, grant and funding agreements, framework agreements, call-off contracts, tender and PFI documentation.
Athina communicates with clients and providers to negotiate provisions of various documents and to progress matters. She advises on the procurement regulations, various procurement procedures and documentation, as well as subsidy control matters. Athina frequently provides legal updates to clients in relation to these, and other areas of interest to the public sector, for example, freeports, government funding (including provisions under the UK Community Renewal Fund and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund), the safe use of council offices during the Covid-19 pandemic and levelling-up.
