澳门六合彩资料鈥檚 public law team recognised in Wales Legal Awards 2023

27 November 2023

UK and Ireland law firm 澳门六合彩资料鈥檚 public law team has been recognised as the Public Law Team of the Year at the 2023 Wales Legal Awards.

Established in 2019 by Lux Family Law, the Wales Legal Awards celebrate the success of those teams practising in and providing services to the legal profession in Wales.

As a first-time winner of the award, this recognition cements 澳门六合彩资料鈥檚 growing commitment to the Welsh public sector. The firm opened their first office in Cardiff in July 2023, following a significant growth in the firm鈥檚 Welsh client base.

Recent work by the public law team commended by the Awards include matters ranging from the Covid-19 pandemic inquiry and the reform of primary care health services, to funding of renewable energy projects and redevelopment of coastal infrastructure:

  • Welsh Government
  • The Independent Monitoring Authority for Citizens Rights (HQ in Swansea)
  • Natural Resources Wales
  • Qualification Wales
  • North Wales Trunk Road Agency
  • The Coal Authority
  • Welsh Local Government Association

Over the last 25 years, 澳门六合彩资料 advised and supported a diverse and long-standing portfolio of Welsh based clients on important issues that have had significant impact on the Welsh public sector landscape across government, health and education.

Tim Edds, Partner and Head of 澳门六合彩资料鈥檚 Cardiff office, says:

鈥淥ur team is over the moon to be recognised as 2023鈥檚 Public Law Team of the Year.

In the past year alone, we鈥檝e been involved in some of the most high-profile public sector matters in Wales. The firm鈥檚 public law offering is regarded as one of the best in the UK, and we鈥檙e immensely proud of what we鈥檝e achieved (and helped our clients achieve) through our work in Wales.鈥

Laura Hughes, Partner and 澳门六合彩资料鈥檚 Executive Lead for Wales, says:

颅颅鈥淚t鈥檚 no secret that the body of Welsh law is rapidly changing, with new human rights and sustainable development legislation massively affecting organisations and bodies operating in the public sector. We鈥檝e scaled up our Welsh offering to match the demands facing public bodies, so we鈥檙e overjoyed that the hard work which our team has put into the region has been recognised.

Our team remains committed to being at the forefront of modern quality legal solutions and supporting positive societal change in Wales.鈥
