Leading the conversation on the Modern Slavery Act

19 March 2018

We brought together experts: Baroness Young of Hornsey, a Crossbencher in the House of Lords and campaigner against Modern Slavery; Dr Alexander Trautrims, a Lecturer in Supply Chain and Operations Management at Nottingham University Business School; and Raymond Silverstein, Head of our Employment Team in London and Emma Grant, Corporate Lawyer and founders of our Modern Slavery Act group.

For a glimpse into the themes discussed by experts, watch this short video to hear about the current state of play, where accountability lies, the penalties of non-compliance and, looking forward, what changes may occur in these areas. Watch today to explore how businesses should approach their internal work in producing their slavery and human trafficking statements going forward, and the positive impact that working closely with supply chains has on businesses.
